When we began our 2019-20 season, we had no idea that it would end like this. No one did. We have found ourselves in uncharted waters, and the safety and well-being of our entire community is our top priority. Over the last two months, we have continued to evolve. We've adapted. We've changed. We have tirelessly worked to bring music to the members of our community in new, experimental ways. We are nearly two months into our practice of social distancing, and we've continued to work with our membership every single week. Even though our spring performances have been cancelled, we've pivoted to build a Workshop Series for our members. Thanks to technology, Youth Chorus members and Adult Chorus members have been engaged in live, musical experiences held remotely from the safety of members' own homes.
Sadly, we've lost the income that would have come from our spring fundraising events as well as performance ticket sales, and we were on track for a very big concert. This loss of this income will be difficult to overcome, but we know you can help us out. Your participation in our 2020 Spring Support campaign will allow us to continue running our programming now and into next season despite this lost income. Any support you can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you for helping us to "Dream a World" for the future of music in our community!
Here's what we're doing:
During the month of May (now through May 31), we're looking to raise a grand total of $5,000 through the generosity of our wonderful donors.
$1,500 will help sustain us for the rest of this season with the most basic operating costs (figuratively "keep the lights on")
$3,000 will allow us to continue running our programs for Youth and Adults despite the loss of ticket income from our several cancelled performances this spring.
$5,000+ is our ultimate goal, and it will allow us to pay many of those expenses and go into the 2020-21 season as strongly as ever!
